Milu Bicicleta Voladora Rioja
Quinta Milu is situated in the Ribera Del Duero in Spain. This area is well known for producing big, expressive wines – however the wines produced at this vineyard are much more elegant and reserved in style. Using traditional methods such as foot treading and minimal handling these wines are both rustic and delicately made.
The Flying Bicycle is a modern style Rioja by our favourite Milu maker Germán R. Blanco. With no oak here, the wine retains an amazing freshness. The nose is very aromatic, fresh red fruit mixed with floral notes, leave it to breath in a glass and it will remind you of the toffee apples at a fair. In the mouth you will discover a fresh, fruity wine with good acidity.
Drink with hearty full flavoured dishes such as soups and stews. Roasted lamb with rosemary would pair well too as would chicken with chorizo.
