Salcheto wine estates are certified organic and create wine using minimal interventions in the vineyard and the winery. It is located in the heart of Tuscany, surrounding the Salcheto stream running through the town of Montepulciano. They focus intensely on environmentally friendly practises, using an innovative cellar layout that reduces carbon emissions and bottling using the least amount of glass possible.Â
This is a bold and powerful wine with developed flavours of leather, earth and tobacco, intermingling with red and black fruit aromas and flavours of black plum and black cherry. The tannins are velvety smooth and the finish is long and elegant.Â
