The ageing process for The Senior Tawny occurs in large wooden casks, where the wine undergoes gradual oxidation. This is certainly one of Niepoort’s classic house styles. A brick red tawny in the glass, this fine blend is rich and complex. This wine has spent seven or so years in small barrels in the Niepoort lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia.
