Bulleit Bourbon
In 1987 Thomas E Bulliet Jr revived a carefully kept family receipe and began the Bulliet Distilling Company. He was inspired by his great, great grandfather, Augustus, a tavern keeper in Louisville Kentucky and a keen bourbon experimenter and enthusiast who wanted to create a Bourbon with a distinctive character. One day – in the 1830’s – Augustus was transporting some precious barrels of his bourbon from Kentucky to New Orleans when he vanished along with his barrels of whiskey, presumably abducted. Sadly he was never found again and the surroundings of his dissapearance are still a mystery to this day.
This multiple award winning whiskey is a subtle blend of rye, corn and barley. Its high rye content ensures it has a peppery kick and the marmaladey, sweet and toasty flavour rounds out to a toffee finish. This is classic Kentucky whiskey. We love it in a whisky sour or simply  on the rocks.
