Originally Macallan whiskies were aged solely in Sherry casks imported from Jerez in southern Spain, now they also use Bourbon seasoned casks.
The 15 year old Sherry Oak Cask Macallan is aged in specially selected Olorosso sherry casks and also in American oak which together impart rich, fiery and luxurious flavour, colour and texture. The hue of this whiskey is deep. The flavours are so well balanced, sweet, creamy with a delightfully hot bite.
