Sandeman – Armada Rich Cream Oloroso
Sandeman is the famous Port & Sherry house, founded in 1790. It’s famous logo depicts a man wearing a Portuguese student’s cape as a nod to their Port business and a Spanish wide brimmed hat as a nod to the Sherry business. The Sandeman “Don” as he is known became one of the worlds first brand images and is still very much recognised brand image today.
The Palomino grapes that go into this olorosso are grown in Sandemans own vineyard on their best sites in Jerez.
Deep mahogany in colour, with golden highlights. Complex Oloroso characters of roasted almonds, sweet spices and dried fruits are enriched by coffee and treacle flavours from the addition of PX. The final wine is full-bodied, layered and well balanced with a very smooth and velvety finish.
