Domaine Patrick Tranchand – Moulin a Vent ‘Rochegres’
Moulin-a-Vent is one of the most Northerly Cru in Beaujolais, right on the tip of Burgundy and planted on red granite soils which lend the wines a distinctive salinity. Domaine Tranchand was taken over in 1994 by Patrick from his father, with a refocused emphasis on creating wines that truly express the terroir of Moulin-a-Vent.
This Beaujolais from one of the most well known Crus is made with 100% Gamay and is lightly oaked. The body is smooth and tannins are well light and velvety with bramble, blueberry and blackberry aromas and flavours.Â
